July 2026 Caregiver of the Month: Hortencia “Horti” Reyes
At Amevian Home Care, we are fortunate to have Caregivers who bring not only experience and skill into our Clients’ homes, but also the reliability, compassion, and willingness to help that families can truly count on. This month, we are proud to recognize Hortencia “Horti” Reyes as our July 2026 Caregiver of the Month!
Horti joined the Amevian family in October 2025, and from the very beginning, she has proven herself to be the kind of Caregiver both our Clients and our Team can depend on.
More Than 12 Years of Caregiving Experience
When Horti came to Amevian, she already had almost 12 years of professional caregiving experience. Her background spans assisted living communities, in-home care agencies, skilled nursing facilities, and rehabilitation settings.
That variety of experience has given Horti the ability to step into different care situations with confidence and adapt to the individual needs of each Client. She understands that great care is never one-size-fits-all. Every Client has their own routines, preferences, personality, and needs, and Horti has a wonderful ability to meet people where they are.
Even before we hired her, we had a pretty good indication of the kind of Caregiver we were getting. The professional references we contacted could not say enough wonderful things about Horti. Since joining Amevian, she has absolutely lived up to those high praises.
Someone We Can Count On
One of the qualities we appreciate most about Horti is her reliability. Caregiving requires consistency, and Horti takes that responsibility seriously. She rarely calls off and routinely steps up when we have a last-minute Client need. When our Team reaches out looking for someone who can help, Horti is often willing to jump in. That dependability matters tremendously in home care. Behind every open visit is a Client and Family who are counting on us, and having Caregivers like Horti who are willing to help makes an enormous difference.
A Caregiver Clients Want Back
Of course, reliability is only part of what makes Horti special. The real measure of a Caregiver is the experience she creates for the people in her care.
Our Clients love Horti.
Again and again, Clients have asked for her to return after she has cared for them. That kind of feedback means a great deal to us because it reflects something that cannot be measured simply by years of experience. It means that Clients feel comfortable with her, trust her, and enjoy having her in their homes.
That is exactly the kind of connection we hope every Amevian Caregiver will build.
Welcoming Horti Back
Horti's first year with Amevian has also included a very special new chapter in her own life. She spent a few months away from us on maternity leave after welcoming her new baby boy.
We were thrilled to welcome her back, and this month's Caregiver of the Month photo makes the recognition even more special. Horti is holding her baby boy while accepting her certificate, making for a pretty wonderful snapshot of this moment in her life.
We are so happy for Horti and her growing family, and equally happy to have her back as part of ours.
